THIS SCENE. This scene that lasted like literally three seconds. It stuck out to me like so much I could not get this picture out of my mind after it just flashed. Me being a ridiculously hardcore Ron/Hermione shipper like no other just could not handle this three seconds of Ron just holding Hermione. He’s the one protecting her now, and she’s letting herself be taken care of for once. After all these years, Hermione was always the one who was mentally ahead of the pack. And in the recent times, she was calling the shots. Hermione is a strong woman and she would never be caught relying on someone else. But now she’s let her guard down in a way, and as her world crumbles around her, she lets herself be taken in someone else’s arms. And Ron. Ron, the little boy who squealed with terror whenever he saw a spider. Ron, the little boy who stuffed his face with chocolate frogs as little Hermione judged him because she felt as if she had an air of superiority, simply because she was brilliant. But throughout the years, he grew stronger himself. He wasn’t just another Weasley kid anymore. And as he and Hermione realized their feelings for each other, finally, he became the one to protect her. And even though there is no doubt that he was so scared and he was so afraid himself, even though his world was crumbling as well, even though his best friend’s life was in danger, even though his brother was just killed, he protected her.
THE MAGIC BEGINS: A character you feel the need to defend - Draco Malfoy.
“Draco… years ago, I knew a boy who made all the wrong choices… please, let me help you.” - Albus Dumbledore.
The one who died for power. The one died for love. The one who greeted death as an old friend.
The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice-versa, the bad things don’t necessarily spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
